Akoni was born and raised in upcountry Maui. His love of music began at an early age, when he picked up his first ukulele in a grade school music class. Akoni has been in the music industry for 15+ years and has released 8 singles as a solo artist. He is a popular and bestselling singer and songwriter, with numerous #1 hits on iTunes reggae charts and local Hawaii radio stations. When Akoni is not playing music, he enjoys surfing and spending time with his family and 3 dogs.
